Bilton and Woodfield Community Library is a small, friendly library at the heart of the local community.
The library is run by the Bilton and Woodfield Community Library Group, in partnership with North Yorkshire County Council. They are a registered charity, established in 2012 to prevent library services being lost from the area. They are more than eighty local volunteers, managing and running the library for the benefit of everyone. They provide a full range of library services and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The library is accessible by wheelchair and very child-friendly.
The volunteers do everything from fundraising to property management to story times to shelving books. Bilton Library provides full training and possibilities to take on genuine responsibilities for anyone interested.
